Need Help While You Wait for Mental Health Services?

A shortage of mental health providers can often mean waiting weeks, or even months, for an appointment. Below is a list of services and supports that can help you while you wait. Warmlines, support groups, and community drop-in centers are among the many options that can help support you right now.

Need Someone to Talk To?

Check out these warmlines. Warmlines are different from crisis lines. While crisis lines are designed for emergencies, warmlines provide emotional support, encouragement, and connection from trained peers who have lived experience with mental health or substance use challenges. They can be a great option when you need someone to talk to but are not in immediate crisis.

Want to Connect with Others?

You don’t have to face life’s challenges alone. Support groups and peer support programs bring together people with shared experiences who understand what you’re going through. Whether you’re living with a mental health challenge, grieving the loss of a loved one, supporting a family member, or navigating another life challenge, connecting with others can reduce feelings of isolation, provide encouragement and practical ideas, and remind you that recovery is possible.
