January marks the start of a new year of learning, collaboration, and action at The Northeast Wisconsin Mental Health Connection. In the year ahead, we are focused on strengthening what it means to be a member of The Connection by creating more opportunities for members and supporters to build new relationships, deepen existing connections, and engage meaningfully in this work.

We are also eager to explore innovative approaches to addressing the mental health workforce shortage and to better leverage our data-rich community to support creative, responsive solutions to the growing complexity of individual needs and service demands. Inside, you’ll find updates on ways to stay engaged, including a reminder about our upcoming January 8 member meeting, along with a preview of what’s on the agenda.

Our January e-news also includes information on two community mental health support groups, a reminder to register for the We Heart You – Recovery in Our Community event, details about our upcoming free CEU training in partnership with Us2 Behavioral Health, and opportunities to get involved in the Mental Health Action Partnership – a cross-sector collaboration bringing together providers, public health, and community partners to strengthen the mental health system through shared learning, coordination, and collective action.
