Project Zero | Strong Minds 4 Men

Strong Minds 4 Men, a strategy of The Connection’s Project Zero Initiative, was launched in late 2020 with the goal of reducing suicide risk in working aged men, who account for the largest number of suicide deaths in our region, as well as nationally. The public health campaign and companion resources were designed to connect men to mental health resources and supports and normalizing help-seeking behavior among men for mental health challenges.

The campaign features a resource webpage, StrongMinds4Men.org, that is part of the MyConnectionNEW.org website, that features information about mental health disorders, how to access help, and available services and supports. Visitors to the site are able to:

• READ about mental health concerns, WATCH videos in which men talk about their experiences, and LISTEN to podcasts that address related topics head-on.
• Find relatable, self-care tools and resources.
• Take a free, online, and anonymous mental health screening.
• Access contact information for emergency services.
• Learn what to expect when contacting a mental health professional.
