Zero Suicide
The zero suicide philosophy, simply stated, is this: there is no acceptable number of suicides except zero. With a commitment to suicide prevention in health and behavioral health care systems, we use the tools and resources made available by the Suicide Prevention Resource Center. The goals of our local initiative are to bring the philosophy, training, and toolkit of Zero Suicide to the tri-county area in order to improve services to those who have attempted suicide. The workgroup also seeks to address the high-risk groups, including 45-64 year old white males, LGBTQ youth, and juvenile justice-involved youth.
