In recognition of Suicide Prevention Month, we will be offering a sneak peek at our data/results of the Fox Cities Mind Your Wellness Survey (MYWS) at our Sept. 8 member meeting, planned for 7:30 – 8:45 a.m. (Click here for the Zoom invite and link.)

The survey is a surveillance tool that offers a deep dive into the mental health of adults living in the tri-county area (Outagamie, Calumet and Winnebago counties), and looks at the relationships among mental health, lifestyle, substance use and suicide-related behaviors.

The data collected through the MYWS over the past year is the community’s data. Our intention is that it will be used as a driver for decision making around mental health services and strategies to address adult mental health. We look forward to sharing this valuable information with our members and the community. From this data, we can see how disparities impact mental health, suicidality and even coping skills.

Also on the agenda for September meeting is our project spotlight. We are excited to shine the light on Ascend – a program of Pillars, which Ascend, which provides supportive services and independent living skills for young adults living with mental health challenges.
